tongue

The tongue can be a source of both blessing and curse .It can be blessing when we use our tongue to
ü  Empathize
ü  identify
ü  encourage
ü  confront and
ü  exhort others
It can be a curse when we use it to
Ø  talk nonstop to hide from intimacy
Ø  dominate conversation to control others
Ø  make sarcastic remark
Ø  expressing indirect hostility
Ø  threaten someone expressing direct hostility
Ø  flatter instead of authentically praise
Ø  seduce
Many people who have difficulty setting verbal restrictions on themselves aren’t really aware of their problems. They are often genuinely surprised when a friend says to them “sometimes you interpret my commas us Periods “
Words are many, transgression is not absent! But whoever holds his tongue is wise
A knowledgeable man uses words with restraint.
RESTRAIN refers to the free action of holding back something or someone .the actor has the power over the object” it is boundary-laden term. We have the power to set boundaries on what comes out of our mouths.
When we can’t hold back or set boundaries, on what comes from our lips, our words are in charge—not us. But we are responsible for those words. Our words do not come from somewhere outside of us, as if we were a ventriloquist’s dummy. They are the product of our hearts. We need to take responsibility for our words.
We have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every careless word we have spoken.

N:B  texting also the same effect we will be accountable.
